Lot specializes in protecting intellectual property rights and data usage. She advises innovative companies on strategies to apply their know-how, software, and data in alignment with their business models. She also focuses on optimizing the effectiveness of collaborations and agreements, including those related to Free and Open-Source Software (FOSS).
Besides her experience as a lawyer, Lot also has in-house experience. As a corporate lawyer at a startup specializing in electronic medical devices, she shaped the company's legal side and, among other things, established data governance in a way that facilitated the further development and implementation of the company's software products.
Lot has experience establishing partnerships and negotiating contracts and licenses for technology, including those related to AI/Machine Learning applications. Previously, as a lawyer, Lot also represented market participants in tender procedures, focusing primarily on healthcare and IT tenders.
Lot provides legal coaching to early-stage start-ups and regularly speaks on IT and innovation protection, including at the Master's in Health Management & Data Intelligence at EMLYON Business School in Lyon.
